Visitors to Raveningham Gardens are invited to explore the 18th century walled garden, which makes up part of this 5,500 acre rural state, which has been home to the Bacon family since 1735.

Some 35 different types of vegetable are grown in the walled garden throughout the year and pride of place goes to its 200-year old Queen Charlotte apple tree. There are also Victorian glasshouses, where grapes, peaches, figs and plants are grown, plus an orchard, arboretum and herb garden.

Walled Garden produce will be on sale in the tearoom, which serves home made cake and drinks.

Contemporary sculpture can be viewed throughout the gardens, and there is a walk round the lake created to mark the Millennium. Raveningham’s 14th century church will also be open.
