Arts and Culture

Arts and culture in the Waveney Valley are as vibrant as they are varied. Theatre and cinema lovers will delight at the wide choice of entertainment on offer at an array of stunning historic venues from a 16th century barn, regency assembly room and Victorian water mill.

Venues such as the Fisher Theatre in Bungay, The Cut in Halesworth, Corn Hall Diss and Beccles Public Hall offer lively programmes of high quality entertainment, from comedy, theatre, film and music.

Throughout the Waveney Valley you will also find a wide selection of galleries providing a range of exhibitions. With its inspirational surroundings, it’s perhaps no wonder that the Waveney Valley is home to a surprising number of artists and crafts people.

The Harleston and Waveney Art Trail is a diverse and lively community of professional artists who live and work in the beautiful Waveney Valley. All within reach of Harleston, a small market town on the border of Norfolk and Suffolk and overlooking the beautiful flood meadows of the River Waveney. Bringing together arts organisations and practitioners, Waveney and Blyth Arts co-ordinate a variety of walks, exhibitions and events.
