There will be no dashing through the snow this weekend, but it really is time to jingle all the way down to the Waveney Valley. Never mind all of that naughty and nice business, Santa Claus is coming to town!

30th November

From Friday 30th November onwards there will be a whole host of festive activity, kicking off with the Beccles Christmas Lights Switch On starting at 5:30pm, where there will be stalls, music and possibly a visit from Rudolph.

1st December

On Saturday 1st December, Harleston will be hosting their Christmas Market. Tasty treats and handmade crafts will fill the Market Place and Exchange Street, with the Harleston Christmas Lights Switch On celebrations starting at 4pm in the Thoroughfare. Ben Langley, comedian, writer and performer, best known as a finalist in Britain’s Got Talent 2018, and shortly starring as Wishee Washee in Aladdin at Norwich Theatre Royal, will officially switch on the lights on the Christmas tree and around town at 6.20pm.

Also on 1st December, Halesworth will be holding their Brocante Antique and Vintage Market, where you can pick up a quirky gift or two. This very popular monthly antique & vintage market has really grown in popularity over the last three years. Attracting around 35 Brocanteurs to each market, there is always an eclectic mix of antiques, vintage, midcentury modern and interior pieces on offer.

2nd December

On Sunday 2nd December, head to the Bungay Christmas Street Market for over 100 stalls selling a wide range of seasonal items as well as food and drink, and plenty of entertainment.

If that’s too much to pack in to one weekend, on the 8th December you get the chance to do it all again with the Halesworth Traditional Christmas Food, Drink, and Artisan Market. Step back in time to the Market Place which will be packed with local food and drink producers, and artisans plying their wares as they would have done in days gone by.
